  • Graham Dowling, Managing Director

Graham has been involved in theatre since he was 16, either on the stage or behind it. As a result of his love of student theatre at Durham University, Graham decided to pursue a career in the theatre world, gaining experience as a theatre technician, development assistant, theatre administrator and tour manager, before focusing on technology for theatres.

Following his time at the Old Vic and Old Vic Tunnels, Graham joined Artifax Software in 2012, initially as a trainer, before taking over as Sales Manager in 2014. After a successful three years there, he decided that the time was right to move into the ticketing software world and that PatronBase was the natural choice for him, as the company shared his passion for seeing theatres flourish by using technology effectively.

  • Charles B. Shatzkin, Chairman and CEO

Phill’s interest into the arts started from an early age as a Musician. Specialising in classical Trumpet, Phill graduated with distinction from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and still actively plays in various ensembles in his spare time. His passion for music developed into an enthusiasm for other performing arts and in turn inspired a career within the arts sector. Phill has been working at PatronBase since 2012, having worked for a number of years in Ticketing at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff.

Phill is responsible for growing the PatronBase family through consulting with potential new customers, to help them decide whether PatronBase is the right system for them, and assisting in new implementation projects. He will also be working with existing customers to ensure that everyone is aware of new PatronBase modules and developments that may be of interest to them and their organisation.

  • Julie Shelton, Sales and Marketing Administrator

Julie’s love of theatre began at a young age as a member of Central Youth Theatre Wolverhampton and while studying for A-Levels she began her first Box Office job at The Grand Theatre, again in her hometown. She later graduated from Brunel University with a BA Hons in Drama and Film, after 3 years spent working her studies around her many jobs at Richmond Theatre!

A self-confessed ‘ticket geek’, Julie has over 25 years of experience working with Ticketing and CRM systems, at venues and organisations of varying sizes, from small amateur drama groups to local councils and large theatres, such as Milton Keynes Theatre. Most recently, Julie was part of the small (but mighty) Box Office team at the Castle Theatre and Arts Centre, Wellingborough. She still enjoys the occasional spot of directing / performing and, when not near the boards, she can usually be found knitting, lost in a good book or Pinterest, or watching her youngest son playing table tennis.

In between all of this, Jonathan has toured the world in a band, produced albums and amassed a growing collection of guitars. He still plays football and manages a Sunday League side in his home town of Bristol.
